역사적인 북미 정상회담이 막을 내렸다.

도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령과 김정은 북한 국무위원장은 12일 오전 9시(현지시각) 싱가포르 센토사섬의 카펠라 호텔에서 만났다. 두 정상의 악수로 시작된 이 날 일정은 단독회담, 확대회담, 업무 오찬 순으로 이어졌고, 트럼프 대통령과 김정은 위원장은 회담 끝에 공동 합의문에 서명했다.
6.12 센토사 합의문은 새로운 미-북 관계 수립, 한반도 평화 체제 구축, 한반도의 완전한 비핵화, 유해 발굴 및 수습 등 네 가지 조항을 명시했다. 공동 합의문 서명 이후 진행된 기자회견에서 트럼프 대통령은 한미연합훈련 중단, 종전, 대북제재 등을 언급했다.
트럼프 대통령은 기자회견 직후 싱가포르를 떠났고, 김정은 위원장 역시 곧 출국할 것으로 알려졌다.
